WELCOME TO SET Prof. Dieter Trau
School of Engineering and Technology would like to announce and welcome Professor Dieter Trau, who has now joined the AIT family in his role as the new Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology and new Director of the AIT Entrepreneurship Center.
As the new Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, he will be working with the faculty and the Vice President for Academic Affairs to strengthen SET teaching and academic research through innovation. He will take the lead in bringing the School to the next level in terms of gaining higher academic reputation and transforming its curriculum and education.

As the new Director of the AIT Entrepreneurship Center (to be established this September), he will work with the Vice President for Knowledge Transfer to build the AIT start-up ecosystem to be used by our students and faculty.
Coming to AIT from the National University of Singapore, Professor Trau is an accomplished researcher in the field of Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering and is also an entrepreneur who is the holder of numerous patents and founder of several companies. He received his education from Aachen in Germany and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
