Hybrid Professional Training Course on DS&AI

During 1-3 April 2021, AIT successfully organized its first Hybrid Professional Training Course on DS&AI: Emerging Data Modeling & Management Technology: Key-Value & Document Databases. This professional training course was part of a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, to build the capacity and to improve the level of competencies and skills of IT professionals in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI). It focused on emerging database and technologies suitable for managing various types of data, especially NoSQL database, both key-value and document models. It explored the importance and applications of NoSQL databases, and how to use them in a real-world scenario.

This 3-day training course was instructed and led by Dr. Chutiporn  Anutariya. Professor Phan M. Dung, Professor Matthew Dailey, Dr. Vatcharaporn Esichaikul and Dr. Chaklam Silpasuwanchai, faculty of ICT department, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), also gave welcome remarks and shared their knowledge in DS&AI to the participants.

There were 30 participants from various public and private organizations in Thailand, attending and completing the training course through either an on-site classroom at AIT, or an online learning via Zoom and the project’s VLE (https://dsai.asia).  The participants were very satisfied with the overall training quality, the theoretical and practical knowledge gained from the training, and found the training useful for their goals.
